Another Lady's Bedroom

Miniature lady's bedroom

I haven't made any new miniatures for awhile but I have been having fun playing with what I have. This is another bedroom (bedrooms are easy).

I like adding accessories to make the rooms feel fuller.

The cat is definitely too big for the room.

Something New To Share With You

From left to right:
I bought a wooden ring box at a yard sale for 50 cents and want to use it as a mini.
The jar on top was a beach themed key chain that I took apart and emptied, then I added some sticks from my yard to it.
I made the stool by gluing two soda pop lids together and covered them with material.
A while back, I purchased some wooden discs.  I took two of them and added legs, which are some old bobby pins cut down.
As for the hand statue, I had it before but it had gotten broke, and I just now got around to fixing it.

That is all for today.  Hopefully, I will have more for you next week.

Miniature Bohemian Bedroom

miniature bohemian bedroom

I was going to try and wait to post this on Friday but I am too excited.  I'm so happy with the latest scene I put together.  It's a good thing to take a break every once in a while, you come back stronger!

miniature bedroom

You'll probably recognize a lot of stuff from previous projects.  But there are some new things too.

boho bedroom

The lamp, for example, is new.  I made it using a makeup lid and another chess piece.  The drift wood is something I've had forever and only recently saw a way to use it finally.  And there are some pieces that I haven't used in a long time like the clear side tables.

witchy miniatures

I also put in some mini "crystals".  They are from my collection of Pecos Diamonds that I collected as a kid.  I feel it makes it a little witchy.

I also finally used that little tray that my friend gave me a while back.

miniature bedroom dresser

I placed a bunch of teeny tiny sea shells in a bowl on the dresser and a candle that I've hardly used.

miniature cat

The chest is an incense holder.  As for the cat, I need to try and paint them to make them look a little better at some point.

miniature boho

The room was a little bland before I realized what was missing.  Plants!  So I put plants EVERYWHERE!  They really make the room so much better.

I just love all the colors in this room.  The blues, oranges and pinks!  Notice the pink rug?  I will have to build a permanent room box to repeat this scene for keeps soon.

Playing Around With Some Of The New Minis

miniature living room

I've been playing around with some of the new minis trying to get ideas.

miniature shelf

One idea I have is that I don't like the side walls to be white and want to paint them.  But what color?  It would have to be a neutral color to work with different minis.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, I know these new chairs are meant to be garden furniture, but I love this one in this living room scene.

Diy Miniature Suitcase

miniature bedroom

Right now, I'm just playing around with the new room.  I plan on covering the current flooring again.  Also, thinking about painted the bed frame, what do you think?

But this particular scene is really just an excuse for showing off my suitcase that I made.

I made it out of this little pill box.

I have a few mini scenes in mind for the near future, so stay tuned.

Boho Room Box #1

miniature boho room box

I finally got around to finishing a permanent room box.  This one is of course boho themed.  (I've been on a boho kick lately.)

boho miniatures

This is one of those projects that I love, love, love!  I am super happy with how this turned out.

I bought this wooden box a while back at Goodwill for $2.00.  It is the same one that I used for the Halloween scene I did this year. This post.

miniature pallet furniture

I made the pallet sofa out of Dollar Tree version Jenga blocks and craft sticks.  I wrapped one of the girls cylinder shaped blocks with twine as well.  The brown pillow is made from $1 ribbon.  And the shelf is from a Dollar Tree wooden puzzle block.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.
