Miniature Halloween Scene

miniature Halloween scene

I've had the idea in mind for some time now.  After I bought the witch at the Dollar Tree anyway.  Again, this is a temporary setting, just playing with the minis again.

miniature witch

She's just the right size.  I think I'll keep her.

miniature skeleton

I already had the skeleton from previous projects, but he too, was from the Dollar Tree.

Miniature Halloween party

The banner was made from old packaging.  And the bowl of candy are candy sprinkles.  And the chair was from the Dollar Tree.

miniature witch's shelf

Now for the shelf.  On top I have a crystal ball which is a marble with a bead base, a plant which was a cut off from a fish tank plant and a bead, and a small Christmas ornament with the top taken off and a washer for a base.

The second shelf, I have a handful of the tiny wreaths and another fish tank plant cut off and bead.

Third shelf, I little tea set (missing a piece however) and some bead bottles.

The fourth shelf, I had the clear one for a while, it came in a pack also from the Dollar Tree.  The other glass bottle I found at a yard sale for $1 and another bead bottle.  The large canister is another wooden bead with a button on top.  And then the books are just cut pieces of popsicle sticks with covers glued over.

Miniature Kitchen Scene

miniature kitchen display

I don't currently have a mini kitchen set but I have been playing with some ideas for a DIY set.  Above is me playing around with some of those ideas.

I made the little cabinet and plates inside the cabinet using the pull tops from my creamer bottles.

I don't have many of the proper tools for miniature making but I make do.

Now I just need to figure out a stove, sink and fridge.

Miniature bathroom

miniature bathroom

All pieces in this setting were as is except for the mirror which was taken off a Dollar Tree vanity.

I went with a colorful background in this one.  And the flooring was from Michael's.

miniature toiletries

I'm very proud of my toiletries.  Mostly the pink labeled perfume and the little tube I made from an old makeup brush.

miniature bathroom hutch

I have a few hutches in my collection but this one is the tiniest one.

If you've seen my other recent projects, you'll see that I've been reusing a lot of them.  I plan on making more later, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Next week, I'll be posting a miniature boho living room setting that I put together.  And I've started working on a Halloween setting that I am hoping will be finished and ready to post here by Halloween, so wish me luck.

Miniature Lady's Boho Bedroom

miniature lady's boho bedroom

I put together what I consider to be a bohemian themed bedroom once again using mostly Dollar Tree dollhouse furniture.

mini bed made of broken pieces

The bed was made from some of my broken pieces.  I think the tin pieces were once part of a picture frame.  I stacked cardboard between the pieces and added foam for padding, and felt and a lace handkerchief for bedding.

The hanging on the wall above the dresser was an old torn dolie that I cut a corner off of.  And the tissue box is just a small block with some tissue paper glued to the top.

miniature vanity

I'm mostly happy with the vanity.

There is more to come so keep checking back.  My plan is to post a new room every week this month.

Miniature Children's Bedroom

miniature children's bedroom

Hi, it has been awhile and I am sorry for that.  Life, too often, gets in the way of my fun.  But I am back and have lots of new miniature projects to share with you all including this children's bedroom I made recently.

Dollar Tree Furniture

Most all of the furniture came from the Dollar Tree.  I painted the pieces and redid the bedding for the little beds.

Dollhouse children's bedroom

I had the wall paper already in my supplies as well as the olive green rug (rug sample).  The bedding I made out of a rag that was also picked up at the Dollar Tree.  The flooring, however, was on sale at Michael's for 49 cents.

I made the banner with some scrap paper and some string.  I love how it came out.

Most every thing, in fact, was already in my supplies.  Like the toys, beads I used for the plant holders, mini umbrella and the poster was a sticker I had.

I am so in love with this room, but it is unfortunately only a temporary room.  I made an experimental display room so that I could play with ideas.  Perhaps I'll make it more permanent in the future.

Again, you can click on the pictures to get a larger view.  I hope you enjoyed this room as much as I did making it.
