Trash to Treasure: Miniature Bowls

I have another short post for you all.  I apologize everyone.  I am still trying to catch up.

So my mother's cat knocked her salt and pepper shakers off the table and they broke.  I helped her clean up the mess and in return got to keep the bottom plugs.  I thought they looked like little bowls.  I painted them with nail polish so they'd have a glossy look.  I plan on using one for a kitchen scene and the other I am thinking of using for a plant pot.

I'm very happy with myself at the moment.  I wasn't certain it would work out but I am pleased with the results of my new chair.

This is how is started.  I cut it from an old softener bottle.

Then I covered it with an old rag with tacky glue.

Last, I added legs and a pillow.  So what do you think?

Trash to Treasure: DIY Miniature House Plant

We had our air conditioner replaced a while back before the cold set in.  After the installer left, I found this on the floor.  I have no idea what it was, but with my mini eye, I saw what it was gonna be.

First, I painted it, then I dug through my bag of fake plants that I pick up at yardsales for change.

After finding the right greenery, I glued them in.

I cut up the edge of an old magazine.

Then I covered them with scraps of paper, some scrapbook paper and some from the inside of envelopes.

I love how they came out and plan on making a bunch more.

Trash To Treasure: Modern Dollhouse Build

I built a dollhouse in like, 30 minutes.  I know, it doesn't have a lot of wall space, that is why I'm calling it modern.

It was mostly free though.  I used scrap wood from a broken desk and wood blocks that I bought at a yard sale last year.  A little bit of wood glue and Voila!

Now, here is where all you come in.  What color do I paint it?  I was thinking white?  Or...
