Trash To Treasure: Modern Dollhouse Build

I built a dollhouse in like, 30 minutes.  I know, it doesn't have a lot of wall space, that is why I'm calling it modern.

It was mostly free though.  I used scrap wood from a broken desk and wood blocks that I bought at a yard sale last year.  A little bit of wood glue and Voila!

Now, here is where all you come in.  What color do I paint it?  I was thinking white?  Or...

  2. Hello Brandy,
Great job. I would keep the horizontal pieces bac and stain vertical wood pieces. I have seen a lot of stained would in modern settings of late.

    1. I thought about something similar to that, but the scrap wood I used for the horizontal pieces is really scratched up. Might be able to paint over them with black though. We'll see. Thank you for stopping by.

  3. Maybe cover the wood with brick? Give it an industrial look, like a loft in an old warehouse.

  4. I find the whole structure very modern, I would keep the floors in black and the walls paint them white, it does not matter if the wood is a bit ugly, in my opinion with a plant there, a picture here and complete with furniture the walls ruined they will not even notice. Congratulations on the idea, I'm curious to see it made.
