DIY Miniature Tray

miniature wooden tray

I had a couple of stirring sticks that I picked up free a while back at a bakery that I used to make this mini.  I also cut the ends of some bobby pins for the handles.

It's sooo tiny!  I love it!

Also, I put this little scene together, but I'm not happy with it and I can't figure out how to improve it, so your input would be much appreciated.

I am also remodeling my temporary room...again...This time I am making a removable wood flooring.  So keep coming back for updates on that.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Trash To Treasure: Miniature Art Work

trash to treasure miniature art

This magazine was given to me.  Which makes for free miniature art.  I cut out my favorite pieces.

Then I backed them with a cereal box.

The largest piece is my favorite!  I love, love it!

diy miniature laundry basket

Also, you'll notice in this scene, I made a laundry basket out of a lid from a mouth wash bottle.

Free, is my favorite kind of minis.

Miniature Scene

miniature scene

I made a new permanent scene over the weekend.  I've had this wooden box in a junk drawer holding pens and pencils for years and only recently saw it as a possible mini room box.

I used my favorite "wallpaper".  But I do have enough of it to make some "paintings" later.  And for those who are new here, the picture is a print-off, the plant is a bead with a cut piece of fish tank plant, the bottles are also beads and the lamp is a chess piece with a painted applesauce snack cap.  Also, the carpet is a cut peace of carpet sample.

Hope you like it.

Short and Sweet: Black and White Scene

black and white miniature scene

I haven't had a lot of time for my mini making lately.  However, I do have plans for some permanent set projects rather than my usual temporary scenes.  Hopefully those will happen soon, but for now I leave you with this little black and white scene I put together a while back.

A little New Mini and Scene Creation

I didn't get very far in my mini making this last week.  But I did take this old game piece and paint it silver with some old nail polish.  I meant to showcase it in the scene presented below but the scene took on a life of it's own and it became less about the little house.

I've got a lot of other stuff to catch up on so the next few posts will probably be short and sweet but I will keep them coming.

New Mini Scenes

miniature couch

I found this scrapbook paper in my stash and tried it in this mini scene.  The shelf is half of a jewelry gift box.

miniature table

I've been thinking of trying to make a restaurant or bakery maybe.  This scene was a result of those ideas, so look for this again in the future.

And finally, I put together a little office scene.  I attempted to make a tablet but am not happy with it, so I will try again.

Miniature Scenes

 Playing with my minis again...

miniature figurine

I made this little figurine using a game piece and a charm.

miniature side table

The table was a wonderful surprise from my husband.  He made it at work out of a random part and a scrap piece of wood.

miniature scene

I've been thinking about redoing my miniature room again but wanted to play with some color ideas and scenes first.  I love the colors in the above picture.

miniature kitchen table

Here is a kitchen set I put together.  The table is made out of some of those tiny candle holders for legs and the lid from a broken jewelry box.
