Playing with Minis

So I was digging around some of my craft stuff, looking for some mini ideas and came up with these.
Items include a ring box, wood block, round scrap wood piece painted black, a tiny candle holder (have a bag full of them from a thrift store) golf tees, party favor cups from the Dollar Tree and a diy Christmas ornament I got a couple years back on sale for 50 cents.

I made a side table, a butcher block, some modern chairs and a foot stool.  I plan on fixing them up with a little more detail later.  What do you think?

Old fashioned Lantern

My first attempt at making one of these.

I think it came out pretty good.  I used some beads, wire and a straw.

Miniature Nursery

The nursery is finished!  I call it, "My littlest angel nursery."

diy miniature crib

This was my first attempt at making my own crib.

I also made the gift basket and a few of the other accessories.

Some Old Projects

Again, I am sorry its been so long since my last post, but with school and the new baby I've just been trying to screw my head back on.

Good news though, I'm almost done with this semester and I have BIG plans for two new dollhouses!  I'm so excited to get started!!!

But until then I am going to leave you with some older projects that I never got around to posting.  Hope you enjoy:

I made a Halloween room with a few left over pieces.  I bought the skeleton along with a string full of them at the Dollar Tree Shop for 1$.  I plan on using the rest of the skeletons on a bar.

This bathroom was one of my very first projects that I made out of an old bread box.  The rug was a cup coaster I found, the plant was a perfume lid with some fake fish tank plants and the table was some extra wood pieces I fit together.

As for the next project, I'm doing a modern re-purpose type style.  I'm just itching to get started!

Don't forget, click for larger images.

What should I do next?

I have my options and having trouble deciding which project I want to start on next.

There is the wizard's tower:

Its another project that got started then stashed away where it was knocked around and pieces were broken and lost.

A Lady's Boutique:

I also had a request from a friend to make him a skeleton bar room:

I recently found a larger roombox for this project, just haven't taken pictures of it yet.

I have a fish bowl....

I'm sure there's something I can do with it?...Any ideas?

I have a small vignette type shadow box that I'd like to redo:

And last, I found an old dollhouse at a fleamarket awhile back and want to renovate it.

It would be quite the undertaking.  I'd be doing one room at a time.

So, what do you think?  Opinions?

Project 1: Modern Room Box

Like I said in the previous post, I have many projects going right now.  Too many.  So I've decided to do one at a time and not start the next until I finish the first...I can plan for the next, just not work on it....

Most of these projects are ones I started and put away for months and haven't even looked at until recently.  There's some damage to some.  And some I just want to improve.

The carpet I had in this room was ruined by some Dr. Pepper...

New carpet.

Modern sofa

I made the sofa out of foam, felt and beads.  Its a little dusty after sitting up in my closet.

mini chair

The chair was one of those stress reliever squishy things that I painted black.

mini desk

The computer was a Christmas ornament and the vase was the lid from a sample lipstick.

mini coffee table

The plant holder was a small candle holder from the 1$ shop and the plant was a piece from a fish tank plant.  The magazines were cut out from the back of a subscription catalog.

The chair and table were bought at the 1$ shop and the lamp base was made from a button, bead and dowel.  I haven't found a shade for it yet...and I'm terrible at making shades.

Picture frames from a bracelet I pulled apart.  I plan on finding different pictures for them.

modern roombox

Still a work in progress, but its what I have so far.  If you have any ideas or tips, please share.
