What should I do next?

I have my options and having trouble deciding which project I want to start on next.

There is the wizard's tower:

Its another project that got started then stashed away where it was knocked around and pieces were broken and lost.

A Lady's Boutique:

I also had a request from a friend to make him a skeleton bar room:

I recently found a larger roombox for this project, just haven't taken pictures of it yet.

I have a fish bowl....

I'm sure there's something I can do with it?...Any ideas?

I have a small vignette type shadow box that I'd like to redo:

And last, I found an old dollhouse at a fleamarket awhile back and want to renovate it.

It would be quite the undertaking.  I'd be doing one room at a time.

So, what do you think?  Opinions?

Project 2: Finished!

Don't forget you can click the pictures to make them larger.

I know the night stand is a tin can but I liked the colors and pattern too much.

The tissue box is just a wooden block, painted with tissue glued to the top.

The angel on the vanity was a charm.

The leaves are paper.
I hope you enjoy it.  Its so far one of my favorites.

Project 2: The Lady's Bedroom

My next project is the one behind the title of this page.  That was an old picture from when I first did it.  It since then was put away in a closet and moved around and knocked around until pieces went missing and others broken.  I, now, plan on revamping it.  I even have some new pieces for it.  (You can click on any of the pictures to see a larger view.)

The original room, without any furniture.

Project 1: Modern Room Box

Like I said in the previous post, I have many projects going right now.  Too many.  So I've decided to do one at a time and not start the next until I finish the first...I can plan for the next, just not work on it....

Most of these projects are ones I started and put away for months and haven't even looked at until recently.  There's some damage to some.  And some I just want to improve.

The carpet I had in this room was ruined by some Dr. Pepper...

New carpet.

Modern sofa

I made the sofa out of foam, felt and beads.  Its a little dusty after sitting up in my closet.

mini chair

The chair was one of those stress reliever squishy things that I painted black.

mini desk

The computer was a Christmas ornament and the vase was the lid from a sample lipstick.

mini coffee table

The plant holder was a small candle holder from the 1$ shop and the plant was a piece from a fish tank plant.  The magazines were cut out from the back of a subscription catalog.

The chair and table were bought at the 1$ shop and the lamp base was made from a button, bead and dowel.  I haven't found a shade for it yet...and I'm terrible at making shades.

Picture frames from a bracelet I pulled apart.  I plan on finding different pictures for them.

modern roombox

Still a work in progress, but its what I have so far.  If you have any ideas or tips, please share.

Hobbies: Everyone has them.

One of my favorite hobbies happens to be miniatures.  I am still a beginner, however.  It was not too long ago that I was in the local library and saw a show case for local miniaturists' room boxes.  I was like a little kid stuck to the window of a candy store..."Ohhh, look at that!  Its so tiny..." and then following into incoherent "baby talk" babbling.  Now everything I see is a potential diy miniature for my doll rooms.

Unfortunately I know no one in my area who is as fascinated as I am and so, have no one to share this particular enjoyment with.  And that is why I've created this blog.

I'll start off with a couple of fun questions:

What type of things do you collect for potential miniature makings? ex: beads, toothpaste caps, etc.

How many miniature projects do you typically have going at one time?  I have five : /  (I'll explain in the next post...)
